We are pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition Dear Boss, which showcases the works of two artists, Anastasija Pavić i Alma Gačanin. The exhibition opens on Thursday 4.8.2022. at 18h in Novembar gallery. On this occasion, artists will perform the piece Oral Fixation, which deals with gender roles, and the identity position of women as workers.

By engaging in themes of sexuality, womanhood, and work, and through explicit performative femininity and/or the use of popular culture motifs, the works of Alma Gačanin and Anastasija Pavić challenge and provoke social consensuses on which these topics are upheld. The highly performative female subjects are perverted to their extreme as a means of reconsidering their own understanding of being the product of male desire. In the current context of homogenizing economic and socio-political structures, the artists aim to reposition their own hybrid socio-technological bodies – said the art historian Maja Petrović in an exhibition catalog.

The exhibition runs from the 4th of August to the 11th of September 2022. Gallery doors are open daily (except Mondays) from 12 to 8 PM; Saturdays, from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sundays, from 10 AM to 2 PM, addr. 22, Kursulina street.
