It is our great pleasure to invite you to the exhibition opening of the works of artist Lana Vasiljevic entitled Polygon. The exhibition will open on Thursday 15.9. at 6 pm and will last until October 16, 2022.
Lana Vasiljević's artworks reveal a constant yearning for experimentation with shapes, materials, and the setting. For her new series, Vasiljević creates installations by combining once used and reshaped objects, photographs, new sculptural forms, and ready-made items from her everyday life and visual experience. The artist places value on her own attitude towards the objects, personal memory, and space, thus creating one dimension of the works. The second dimension would be composed of the objects’ interoperability, and the third and final, the relations of space and objects. Motifs such as clocks, mirrors, hearts, books, trains, and umbrellas, likewise point to a lucid context of conceiving the whole, however, simultaneously, their combination with other symbols may articulate a certain confusion. At times, the narrative unfolds before us like a documentary film while also creating a sense of witnessing a surrealistic fantasy image.
The exhibition runs from the 15th of September to the 16th of October 2022. Gallery doors are open daily (except Mondays) from 12 to 8 PM; Saturdays, from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sundays, from 10 AM to 2 PM, and. 22, Kursulina street.
